Description:

This is the Oxygen Icon theme made for KDE4 by the Oxygen Team modified to work with KDE3, simply install it like any other KDE3 theme (restarting KDE is recommended to correct certain icons from not changing), I made this theme so that KDE4 and KDE3 applications don't look so odd next to each other, but you can just use it as a normal Icon Theme if you want. Thank You :-)

Remember the Oxygen Icon Theme is still incomplete so there may be a few missing icons (they will be replaced by the crystalsvg ones of course)

Changelog:

Fixed the zoom out icon.

 Open folder missing?

by GoofyX on: Aug 12 2008

Very nice and elegant theme. I installed it in my KDE 3.5.9 environment and all looks great except the open folder icon. Here's a screenshot from Konqueror:

Is this icon missing...?

Hmm, I had a problem where that icon reverts back to the crystalsvg icon, I ended up having to overwrite the crystalsvg icon in /usr/share/icons.

Hi Dapper,

Which icon(s) from crystal-svg should I replace in order to have a consistent interface? Could you be more specific please?

Thanks.

In /usr/share/icons/crystalsvg you need to replace folder_open.png (that's what I remember it being called, if not it will be similar) in the 16x16 folder with (in my set) 16x16/actions/document_open_folder.png and that should fix the problem you have there. I would recommend you switch to KDE 4.1 though (or 4.2 SVN), and get the theme as it is meant to be :)

 Nice Theme

by TFrog on: Aug 31 2008

I always liked the Oxygen theme ever since I started testing Kubuntu 8.10. I hope you continue to update this as the Oxygen theme grows. It loaded rather nicely on Kubuntu 8.04. My only complaints are nit picks. However, everything looks a whole lot better without the instability of KDE 4.1. Hopefully, they get KDE 4 stable by version 4.2 because I like what I've seen so far.
