Description:

I understand that a web site like this has to create some revenue. The constant flash banners and some of the deceptive ads are fine. This new commercial at the bottom is painful and obnoxious if one is playing music while surfing kde-look.

... whole heartedly. Don't you just love a nice LOUD ad to suddenly pop up when you happen to check KDE Look at work? Not that it's any less embarrassing at home in the arly morning hours when the rest of the family wants to sleep?

I usually follow news using rss feed and now i have to scroll 3x the length of one new content because of the adds...

Few adds here and there is ok but this is too much.

99% of the time I ignore all loud/flashy ads. I prefer a nice, quiet informative text ad. Whatever happened to just getting to the point?

I also don't appreciate flashplayer ads, its come to the point where I may disable flash all together. Flash should have a shutoff button for ads.

I've watched my users instinctively scroll passed all loud and flashy ads. When I asked why they did, they answered "If they have to yell and blind me, what they're selling can't be any good."

... Konqueror comes with an adblocker built-in. It's compatible with FireFox adblocking filters. What's the problem? O.o

P.S: I agree, an informative ad related to the website/current content is better then a flash advert that gets in your face. Google takes this approach. So did (do?) W3C (in w3schools.com). It's all-together friendlier, and also better for the advertisers.
